- 14 SatTrak.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 12-23-1992
- DESC: SatTrak - Enclosed is an file containing SatTrak, a satellite
- KEY: SatTrak.sit KBytes: 178176
- DESC: tracking program for the Mac. It allows you to plot the position of
- DESC: any satellite, including a real-time graphical display. It does
- DESC: quite a few other things of interest to hams/SWL's - it calculates
- DESC: beam headings, grid locators, line-of-sight distance to the
- DESC: horizon, MUF (maximum usable frequency) predictions,
- DESC: wavelengths/harmonics, and even shows a couple of simple dipole
- DESC: designs. This is version 1.02, which supercedes versions 1.0 and
- DESC: 1.01.

- 12 SHAPES Demo.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 02-16-1993
- DESC: SHAPES Demo - complete guide to guitar chords in Hypercard format.

- 11 SHAPES2.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 10-28-1993
- DESC: Shapes2 - Shapes is a HyperCard stack which will teach children to
- KEY: SHAPES2.sit KBytes: 82944
- DESC: differentiate between circles, squares, diamonds, ovals, rectangles
- DESC: and triangles. The child first picks a category, then is presented
- DESC: with a group of shapes. Then he has to pick all of a certain shape
- DESC: out of the group. As he selects the right ones, they disappear. If
- DESC: the child selects the wrong ones, the name is said, reinforcing the
- DESC: names. Fun teaching tool which can be used with very young
- DESC: children.

- 10 SIGMATH.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 11-14-1992
- DESC: SIGMATH - This stack presents multiplication, division, subtraction,
- KEY: SIGMATH.sit KBytes: 32768
- DESC: and addition probs. with answers rounded off to correct number of
- DESC: significant figures or digits. Flash card format. Includes
- DESC: explination as to why the rounding off was done as seen. Also some
- DESC: intro to the rules for rounding off.

- 9 SIMM Stack 4.1.1.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 11-22-1993
- DESC: SIMM Stack 4.1.1 - This is a HyperCard stack which gives information
- KEY: SIMM Stack 4.1.1.sit KBytes: 113664
- DESC: on SIMMS for all types of Macs, Portables and Laserwriters. This
- DESC: stack is up to date as of November 12, 1993. Memory information is
- DESC: given for each type of Mac / printer such as RAM Speed, SIMM type,
- DESC: On Board RAM, Number of SIMM slots, Supported size in MB, Maximum
- DESC: RAM, Virtual Memory, On Board VRAM, Number of VRAM slots and 32 Bit
- DESC: Addressing. Drawings of the mother board are included for most,
- DESC: providing the location of the SIMMs on the board. Useful for those
- DESC: interested in learning more about SIMMs. Composite SIMM info is
- DESC: also given.
- 8 SmSolSysLT.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 03-26-1993
- DESC: SmSolSysLT - As the name implies this program is designed to let you
- KEY: SmSolSysLT.sit KBytes: 135168
- DESC: simulate a system of bodies that move under the influence of each
- DESC: other's mass. Many have written programs that attempt this task,
- DESC: but this implementation is quite different from any other I have
- DESC: seen. Among its features, it has a dynamic interactive three
- DESC: dimensional perspective display to view the bodies. I believe that
- DESC: the best way to learn is to experiment and be involved in the act
- DESC: of experimentation, and the best way to learn about this program is
- DESC: to try it. It has some brief descriptions about controls under its
- DESC: Help! menu, but full documentation is provided in the Microsoft
- 4 Star Atlas 0.6b1.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 11-14-1992
- DESC: Star Atlas 0.6b1 - Star Atlas v-0.06b1, Written by Youhei Morita
- KEY: Star Atlas 0.6b1.sit KBytes: 58368
- DESC: using THINK C 4.0. This program draws a map of a region of the sky.
- DESC: Unlike the preceding application StarChart (*), it conforms to the
- DESC: Apple standard menu system with reverted black menu bar. (Otherwise
- DESC: you will find the white menu very disturbing...) It runs with
- DESC: MultiFinder. I confirmed it runs on MacPlus, SE, SE/30 and II with
- DESC: System 6.0.2 or later.
- 3 Statics Demo.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 02-28-1994
- DESC: Statics Demo - A Dynamic Approach - This is a demo of Statics, from
- KEY: Statics Demo.sit KBytes: 76800
- DESC: Cross Educational Software. Topics included are Intro to Statics,
- DESC: Static Friction, Torque and Harder Problems. Each topic has many
- DESC: categories. Much of this demo is disabled, but if you look for the
- DESC: arrows, they will point you in the right direction. The demo should
- DESC: give you enough of a feel of the program.
- DESC:
- 2 Strumulator.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 06-22-1993
- DESC: Strumulator - This is a HyperCard program which provides three
- KEY: Strumulator.sit KBytes: 112640
- DESC: lessons in guitar strumming. The first lesson - Strum down through
- DESC: your six strings to this rhythm of four quarter notes, one
- DESC: down-strum each. The second lesson - In order to follow one down
- DESC: strum with another, you have to move your hand back up, right? So
- DESC: let's make use of that up motion to create an eighth note rhythmic
- DESC: pattern! The program has play buttons so you can hear the teacher's
- DESC: version of each lesson. After a third similar lesson, you move to
- DESC: the Advanced Strumulator, where you can choose to play eighth or
- DESC: sixteenth strums or rests, and have the teacher play it. Cool
